World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
The upgrade feature for items allows players to increase the level for weapons that can be equipped or armor. This increases the stats of that equipment, and also sometimes adding buffs or the rerolling of an affix.
It is important to remember that although you can upgrade magic and common equipment, it's generally not worth the cost. Rare and exclusive equipment can quickly outperform the standard equipment and upgraded magic.
Cost
If a player wants to upgrade an item, they must pay Gold for the upgrade. The cost of upgrading an item depends on the item's current level and type of upgrade. For instance upgrading a weapon will generally be less expensive than upgrading armor, as weapons have lower level requirements. The amount of Gold required for upgrading an item increases as the item is upgraded.
A newly upgraded item will also have increased stats, which could boost its performance in a variety of ways. This may include increasing its attack power or critical strike chance. The upgraded item can also provide additional buffs to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades are able to increase the overall strength of a group or individual unit, and may significantly impact the gameplay.
Items can be upgraded at any item upgrader NPC in the game. In general these NPCs are found in capital cities or major questing areas. Players can also find upgraders by visiting dungeons with high-level bosses, and by chatting with NPCs in their garrisons for their faction.
The World of Warcraft item upgrade system lets players improve the quality of weapons, armor and trinkets. The process is similar to the process of reforging gear in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor however, instead of using the appropriate currency players need to visit an item upgrader NPC to complete the process.
Upgrades to items can be expensive, particularly when it concerns armor and weapons. Based on the upgrade track you select, each level increase will cost Crests or Valorstones. The total cost can be very prohibitive for players who don't have the resources or are unable to grind them.
The game allows players to play a reroll of an upgraded item using a special tool from the menu of items. This option exchanges the upgraded item for the level 1 version which comes with a different set of bonus effects. This is a great way to improve the roll of items which are already upgraded. However, it can also be a waste.
Requirements
The process of upgrading equippable items such as weapons, armor and trinkets is to raise the item level. This improves their stats and can make them more effective in battle. Players can upgrade their gear by spending the appropriate currency at an upgrader. However, they should be aware that certain upgrades require special requirements.
The first upgrades increase the base item's stats by one level, but later upgrades provide more significant enhancements. Upgrades from level 3 to 6 will boost the weapon's damage by two levels. Additionally, the upgraded item will be awarded a bonus stat, which is based on the tier it's in. The bonus consists of a guaranteed substat as well as a randomly generated stat, which will vary from upgrade to upgrade.
Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item that has been upgraded. The new item comes with different set extra bonuses, and is of a lower level for the item. The rerolled item will also have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to keep in mind that the item rerolled does not retain its original level or any of its wasted resource.
Certain upgraded items can only be rerolled if the original item was Unique, Rare or Epic. Extraordinary items can also be rerolled, however the original stats are replaced by a flat-rate bonus. Rerolling a Rare or Epic item will result in the normal version, and rerolling the Epic version will result in an elite version.
A newly upgraded item could have extra modifiers, which could further boost its stats and enhance its performance. These additional modifiers don't come with the upgrade cost. You can purchase them at the Trading Post, or through other players. They can also be earned by completing specific missions in the game.
To upgrade an item of equipment it is necessary to visit the NPC [Armorto upgrade an item, visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. Based on the type of item, you'll need one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is droppable from monsters 21+ and Giants and Dice 12 is droppable from Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.
Time
Items upgrades can be used to increase the stats of your gear and ship without having to level them. Upgrades aren't cheap but they are a good way to increase your stats without having to spend so much time fighting. It's essential to be aware of the costs and benefits of item upgrade s prior to investing time or money.
Each upgrade increases the stats of the item by a certain amount and gives a chance to get a bonus substat. The additional substat is randomly assigned, and can vary from a slight increase in one stat to a larger boost in another. It is best to concentrate on the most effective items in the slot first, since they will give you a bigger return for your investment.
You can view the time required to complete an upgrade if you open your inventory and select an item such as a ship, weapon or other accessory. The upgrade window will display the expected completion date and progress. In certain cases, you may be able to speed up the process of upgrading by applying a Glyph.
Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage offer a salvage kit that permits you to recover all or a portion of upgrade components. This is not the case for legendary equipment or upgrades that can only be recovered using an upgrade extractor or reclaiming with the corresponding Karma retailer.

Item upgrading rewards players with a number of items and currency. In addition, each upgrade is able to grant a random extra stat bonus. The amount of bonus awarded differs for each upgrade, and is usually more expensive for rarer items. The Great Vault can be searched by players to determine whether an item can be upgraded. The search can also determine if the item is of the appropriate level and if the player could benefit from an upgrade.
During the process of upgrading an item will gradually grow closer to its next level but it's not always able to reach a full upgrade bar. This process uses Growthstones and Sollant but there is an 80% chance of achieving a fully upgraded item after just one cycle. The higher the level an item attains the more powerful its stat value will be, and the more items can be upgraded.
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets to earn an attribute bonus or to create a unique effect when the equipment is worn. Some upgrade components also come with cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving as a gift. In addition players can find upgraded items using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them using a top-quality salvage kit. Glyphs that are placed on tools for gathering can be freely swapped.
By selecting the item and pressing the green button that has an arrow that rerolls, a player can reroll it to create an upgradeable item. This will change the layout of the item window and allow players to select up to six items to "recycle". The item will be replaced by a level 1 item. Rerolled items will not retain their level, nor the resources used to upgrade it.
An item's maximum upgrade level is determined by its tier and quality. Rare items can be upgraded to the maximum level of six while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to level nine. The upgrade of an item is added to its base statistics. This means that they won't grow in the future after a certain level.
